Promotes awareness, respect, cooperation and collectivity among the various Asian nationalities as well as other peoples of color, advocates and provides services and activities to local Asian youth and their families, assists Berkeley’s Asian community to work collectively. Prevents juvenile delinquency by offering services and activities to keep youth off the streets in drug free and sober social activities. Tutoring, counseling program, after-school classes, twilite basketball, dance class, arts and crafts, boys and girls club, Teen Club (ages 13-18) on Tuesday and Thursday evenings, Summer Fun Club and Malcolm X Playground Program, including field trips. Rainbow Connection provides social activities and counseling for South and West Berkeley children 5 to 13 years old, Employment program (Summer Youth Employment and Real Alternatives Program).
