Berkeley International Folk Festival
fantastic, family-friendly, free folk fun from 1-10 pm

The Berkeley International Folk Festival on Sunday, June 24th will showcase a full day of amazing musical talent, covering an expansive array of genres- Cajun, reggae, Mexican, Cuban, and blues as well as featuring several of the finest singer-songwriters around.

Timed to coincide with the West Berkeley International Food Festival, the all-day musical extravaganza provides the musical compliment to an amazing array of wares & foods from around the world that can be found on the San Pablo corridor of West Berkeley. The festival will take place at the Freight & Salvage venue at 1111 Addison Street, from 1-10 pm.

2:00 Vision Walker & Osti Mon- reggae
3:00 Cascada de Flores- traditional regional Mexican and Cuban
4:00 Austin Willacy- folk rock, singer-songwriter of House Jack's fame
5:30 Fugitive Folk Jamboree, a song swap showcasing:
+ The Jonah Kit -"folk music with blood in its veins"
+ JJ Schultz- country-infused storytelling
+ Christopher Smith- quirky, character-driven vignettes

6:30 Marc Silber blues guitarist and songwriter
7:30 Aux Cajunals- old-time Cajun & Creole dance music
8:30 Nerissa & Katryna Nields-high-energy alt-folk and rootsy rock music with a country twang.
